I don't know anything about how such legalities get resolved in Poland, but after having trouble before, and having had to abandon the uise of GMail for Google Mail, you would think Google would have snatched up the Polish domain. But just as in other countries, gmail.pl is already owned by the time they get to it.
Too bad for Google. They sound like a bunch of spoiled brats who think the entire internet is their domain.
Apparently, Google has not been the first to register for the gmail domain before, in Germany, England, Norway, and more. This from ZDNet:
