Two great pieces ...

... in today's Inquirer: Howie Shapiro's Chain-saw fete carves a niche in Pa. and David Stearns's The orchestra, Rachmaninoff: Perfect together.

Howie's piece could have been twice as long and would still have seemed a quick read. I was at the concert and everything David says is right on the money.
