Talk about aging fast ...

... this poor guy had nine years tacked on between the headline and the opening paragraph: Ed Arno, Cartoonist of New Yorker Whimsy, Is Dead at 83. (Hat tip, Roger Miller.)

Update: They caught it, God bless 'em. The headline I originally linked to had his age at 83. Of course, we have only the Times's word for it.

    Don't they post corrections when they get something wrong?

    The BBC are very bad about not logging corrections and updates when readers point out errors and so on, but you would expect an actual publication to be professional and leave a track of any correction to the record they make.
