About this blog ...

... everybody thinks of it as mine. But let's be honest. As anyone who reads it knows, it would really be a lead Zeppelin but for the help I get from that Omnipresent Wisconsin Librarian, Dave Lull - and you who read it only see the tip of the iceberg. So, just on general principles, a hearty thanks to my longest-serving blog partner.

  1. Honoured and thrilled to be the first to second your lovely tribute to the incredible Dave Lull. Three cheers to your astonishing partner from the top of my heat-seekin', geek-squeakin' heart and soul.

Dave Lull is amazing, and all of your fellow bloggers contribute good stuff. I may not always comment (though I do comment quite a bit), but I am always reading.

Keep on keepin' on, Frank et al

And may I add, as a sometime contributor to this blog myself, that if it weren't for the ever-vigilant Dave Lull and his always apposite and tasteful recommendations I'd have had bupkis to post.

Dave Lull is a wonderful friend and a great guy. My tribute to him is here http://friendfeed.com/rooms/owl.
He is not only omnipresent, but also very subtle at knowing what to send to who: he has an uncanny sense of knowing the articles that will strike a chord with the recipient. There have been occasions on which I have been truly shaken at how prescient he has been.

Dave is a hero. He keeps the civilised quarter of the Internet going pretty much single handed. Thank you for this lovely and appropriate tribute, Frank. (Is it his birthday or something, or are you just in a generally better mood even than usual today?)
