The Onion has spoofed Dana and the Big Read this week ("The Big Poem") and I know he'd laugh if he saw it.
He is the hardest working leader the NEA has ever had, sans doute, and now he needs to work on his own poetry. He's written very little in office, though I've been lucky enough to hear a few of those poems and they are *brilliant*. I'm glad he made the hard decision, especially after Congress had unanimously voted him to stay on.
