Wait a minute ...

... I thought species surivived because of their superior adaptational skills: Luck Was Key to Dinosaurs’ Survival, Study Suggests.

What does Darwin have to say about luck? And if survival equals adaptability and adaptabilty equals survival, aren't we at least flirting with tautology?

  1. Flirting with tautology? Well . . . Hrm . . . given tautology is a statement of propositional logic, so to speak, it depends on who gets lucky and who doesn't, don't it?

    (Er, yes, some of us do lead charmed lives; others of us simply console ourselves with Lucky Charms, now considered a comfort food in much the same way KD is, BION. Personally, I liked the swaggadocio of Cap'n Crunch . . . Talk guilty treasures, though.)
