What Ike Looks Like :(

Good Lord. This looks devastating to me, far removed from the eye of the storm here in Northern Ontario, Canada. Prayers and thoughts for the safety of all, especially our friends in the neighbourhood.

  1. Friends are OKAY. I am so very relieved and happy.

What's a little worrisome, though, is IKE is now on a path that cuts a swath right over the Great Lakes region (and, I am in the middle of that where, apparently, it will hit between 8 PM Sunday and 8 AM Monday). More roof delays; no hydro; thermoses of coffee already on the make . . .

The good news? It can't wreck my roof 'cause it still ain't fixed (from the last hearicane dregs). Oh, this is why I laugh when I hear we, as pomotor-mouths, have lost touch with Nature — NEWSFLASH:

She ain't lost touch with my roof :).

I am an optimist, yes, I am; I am an optimist . . . There's no place like one tarp-tamped home, Take Two. Thank the Lard we have community wells (and few other ills).

Ike likes Pennyslvania and New York; so, plans to stay far north of those states; but, weather here hits Ottawa a day later (so, Nigel B. best get the coffee stocked up, too). Ha! You thought I was gonna say "beer," eh? LOL.

(The moose drink the beer around here.)
