Viruses distributed as a postcard attachment pose a real threat . . . or not, depending upon your source, I guess. FWIW, according to those in the know, it is a threat; but, it's not new; and, as usual, users ought to practise common sense and care when opening any attachment:
“The virus and email that have been uncovered have the characteristics of a hoax email that have been spammed out for many years. We do, however, still see malicious links to fake greetings cards doing the rounds pointing to files such as ecard.exe, e-card.exe, and postcard.exe as well as with email Subjects such as ‘Friend sent you a postcard from hallmark.com.'"
My advice? Try Daily Zen, if only because it provides you with a code where you can go to its 'site and input the numbers in order to be certain you're safe.
