Seems only right ...

... that it should be a blood relative: Stoker's blood relative to bring Dracula back from the undead. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

Stoker's novel really is scary and far superior to any cinematic version I know of, especially Francis Ford Coppola's downright risible Bram's Stoker's Dracula.

I did like the movie version with Frank Langella and Laurence Olivier, though. I don't know if it was really scary, but it was sure *sexy*! Even now, Frank L. is still a hottie. And I believe the movie version of "Frost/Nixon," with him playing Nixon, is just about out.

Another great movie he's in, which I watched (and then read the novel, also masterful), is "Starting Out in the Evening," about an aging Jewish intellectual writer in NYC whose novels are long out of print, but he's trying to finish one last. Really, really good film.
