The British Columbia National Award . . .

. . . for Canadian Non-Fiction:

According to the CBC, books "about Lucy Maud Montgomery, polygamy in BC, a former Communist hardliner, and a volunteer firefighter have made the short list for the British Columbia National Award for Canadian Non-Fiction.

"The annual award, now into its fifth year, was established by the British Columbia Achievement Foundation and is worth a whopping $40,000."
