Holiday Reads (With Wands A-Waving)

Deirdre Baker provides readers with a terrific overview of everything readable having to do with "magic, myth, and religion." (Ms. Baker's a terrific writer herself; this column's always a treat replete.)

  1. Lard knows, Susan, we're happy you've told us wonderful news again. No kidding! Notice how I an trying not to use the letter "n" as in "spanning" because I wouldn't want you to discover I am a povert poet with a keyboard that no longer types the letter "n" so, I an forced to type, well, "n" for "n," if you know what I nean. Hope so. As I noted before, we already have a great Susan, Susan B. (who's a classy dane, I'd call her Susan A+ and, so, if you don't nind, I'll have to call you Susan A-).

Do visit more often. We so enjoy your contribution to our otherwise dull interactions and, you know, nebbe, soneday, you'll actually prove you're not a spanner and this nessage isn't originating from a bot. Then, let's talk nagic, nyth, and narketing, K? K.

Have a nice life and an even nicer afterlife :).
