This info may not register with your system immediately if you've set your auto-updates to a different date or have Symantec running (and over-riding it); but, the patch is critical and applies to all versions of IE. It's one of the next-gen attacks and requires you do zilch and can still be affected (infected). Follow the instructions to the appropriate patch to download for your particular OS (and, if you're not sure, you can right-click on your "My Computer" for Properties to discover what you're running. If you err in your selection, Microsoft will tell you the version you selected does not match your system; so, be sure to bookmark page until you find the proper one).
