I was surprised to learn from the second story that HuffPost writers have to wait hours, sometimes days, for their submissions to be reviewed and posted by a hierarchy of editors. I'm not sure that can properly be called blogging. And given the number of inchoate celebrity rants they publish, I'm not clear on exactly what those editors do, either; their function does not seem to be quality control.
