The religious Kool-Aid doesn't seem to be a problem, either. Jacques Maritain, Etienne Gilson, and Josef Pieper - religious philosophers all - made it to 90, 94, and 93, respectively.Philosophers on the whole got as close to eternal life as one could without drinking the religious Kool-Aid.
