The Thrill Is Gill (When Fishing Foots the Bill)

Despite a couple of howling pecadillies, A. A. Gill's lovely essay, "Poetry Is the Cornerstone of Civilisation" in The Times, ought to make the required-reading list of anyone old enough to absorb, contemplate, and fully comprehend what they've just devoured. I liked the quiz at the end of the piece (since I only missed one of the answers . . . drats, drats, double drats).
