George Meredith. I remember being required to read his "The Ordeal of Richard Feverel" in 10th grade and never completing the assignment. Over the last decade or two I've tried to find it in bookstores to no avail. Wonder what's it's about.
If memory serves, it has something to do with Richard's peculiar education.
