A consistent thinker is a thoughtless person, because he conforms to a pattern; he repeats phrases and thinks in a groove.- Jiddu Krishnamurti
I am not sure someone who repeats stock phrases is a "consistent" thinker...Isnt that the wrong use of the word?
I suspect what Krishnamurti was driving as was much the same as Emerson's dictum that "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."
I was going to leave the Emerson quote here, because it's exactly what Krishnamurti meant, but you beat me to it. LOL
