Maybe more than you want or need …

… Kill The Leading Man: Two Histories of 21st Century Television |. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I've never seen any of these shows, but obviously a lot of other people have. Back in my day, when TV was thought to be a vast wasteland, we didn't look to TV shows for insight into life and identity, just mostly entertainment and diversion. Except, of course, for Leonard Bernstein, the NBC Opera, the play of the week, and stuff like that. Of course, I'll take Ibsen over Sex and the City any day.
