Our political class …

… to say nothing of our professorial class:
" 'There are neighborhoods that it’s easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is to for you to buy a fresh vegetable,' [President Obama] said."

This is the man John Gray tells us is "an immensely sane leader." I just returned from shopping for produce. Happily, I am licensed to carry rutabagas.

  1. It is difficult to believe that one person so prominently positioned in our government and society could be so wrong about so many things. But it is also difficult to believe that so many people in the American electorate would disagree with me.

  2. Your reaction to Obama's assertion is remarkably blinkered and complacent. It's like saying that the concept of global warming is a fake because it's snowing in your town.

  3. The concept of global warming likely is fake, but that has more to do with geology than with meterorology. As for the President's statement, its principal weakness is that it is untrue. Even an illegal piece is harder to get than a head of lettuce.
