On the pronoun front …

… Don't Get Too Comfortable (I am at the end of my first semester of...). (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I am utterly old-fashioned on this issue.

  1. Genderqueer people -- those identifying as neither male or female -- often use "they" to refer to themselves -- which can be confusing as it is a plural not singular pronoun. On the other hand, as Walt Whitman sang "I am large, I contain multitudes."
