I cannot read the article without paying. But, this gives me the chance to make a simple statement.The executive branch of the government does not represent the interests of the man on the street, never did. We can call that an "alternative fact," which means just plain wrong. And if the article purports that somehow the executive branch of the government has the interesting of the common person at heart, we can call that a form of "fake news". It may be that no major candidate in 2016 was a populist candidate, which would explain, certainly not all of it, but much of the mess we're in, the most commonly either disliked or hated president in a long long time.
