Pieces of history are carefully chosen and simply told. The convoy that carried Rosen’s great-uncle and aunt to Auschwitz, 1,200 Jews, of whom only 29 survived; the St Louis, setting sail from Nazi Germany with its 900 Jewish refugee children, turned back by the US government.
