A couple of these guys ...

... have been visiting out backyard. The fox sparrows (below right) are rather plump and agressive, I might add. The juncos seem to be permanent winter visitors.

  1. Awwww! They're just so plump and adorable. Thus far, I've only seen boring old robins, but I've started hearing birds in the mornings again.

  2. The juncos have left my yard, though they were there in great numbers in February. The robins are everywhere!

  3. The juncos have been hanging around here quite a bit, too. My regular titmice and chickadees don't seemed very pleased by the competition. A pair of cardinals (hubby & wife) have been daily visitors and provide some welcome color in the barren privy hedges.

Now that the robins are back, I'm looking forward to warm weather so I can put up the hummingbird feeder.
