the History Chanel is wrong in one respect. Camus was returning to Paris in a car driven by his publisher, Michel Gallimard. Camus didnot hitch a ride and die in an accident by a stranger.
Well, that is certainly true. Supposedly, he said something to someone just before they took off about nothing being better than driving fast, especially if you're not driving yourself.
