The science of poetry ...

The Poetry Foundation has released what it calls the first scientific study of American attitudes toward poetry - Poetry in America: Overview.

I haven't read it yet, but Ron Silliman has: Color him skeptical.

    hmm. Yes, I do question the year in which this study was conducted.
    If it is a recent study than I'd say that someone dropped the ball on their part of the report and just guessed the outcome.

    Thanks for the link. I'd missed this study. it made for some highly entertaining reading.
