Thank you, Frank, as ever for your very kind comments. The haiku competition was on a blog that Debra Hamel knows, and I was just pleased she won. I think that if you had been here, you would certainly have been among the top prizes, if your prowess on the "guess the author" quizzes (of the ilk of Shameless) is anything to go by. Can we think of any other subjects for a haiku competition? Doubtless my girls would elect for Pirates of the Caribbean or Stormbreaker (Alex Rider) if asked, but I am sure you can suggest something more uplifting, Frank.
