Something very worthwhile ...

... Remembering Edwin Muir. (Hat tip, Dave Lull. Thanks, Dave. Muir is one of my favorite poets. His autobiography is a masterpiece.)

  1. One of mine, too. I agree with you about the "Autobiography," but I also think that his book-long essay (lecture) "The Estate of Poetry" should be required reading for poets.

    I am an even bigger fan of his fellow Orcadian, who was also briefly Muir's student in Glasgow, George Mackay Brown. Brown also wrote a wonderful appreciation and memoir about Muir, etc., which I highly recommend.
