Today's Inquirer book page ...

... featuring the funky '70s, the Devil in Maine, and my disappointment in J.M. Coetzee's latest - and much more!

  1. Great review, Frank. I found C's deliberations on terrorism tedious. What does Coetzee mean by conveying diversionary viewpoints? In a novel as least fictional as this one, I would have liked a fuller exploration of ideas and perhaps, some sense of what Coetzee, the person, believes.
