Please listen to his nine symphonies. I can't find any of them on YouTube, but YouTube does have his frivolous. wonderfully accomplished, and delightful A Grand, Grand Overture, which I link to below. So he had a sense of humor, could write for the movies. Those symphonies tell us what it was like to be a live in the second half of the 20th century.
