Phrase of the day ...

... "technofascist hustlers," from this comment Ed Champion made on a post of mine:
Don't get me started on generalist charlatans of the Malcolm Gladwell/Chris Anderson/Gerald Celente variety -- the kind of technofascist hucksters who speak in Erhardesque marketing terms and collect bountiful speaking fees to communicate information to people that they could easily look up on their own. Not unlike many New Age movements or self-help books.

Don't get me started on the charlatan generalizers of the Ed Champion variety -- the kind of frothing name-callers who make up gibberish labels that define nothing and toot their own horns for no one listening when they could not so easily get a job in real journalism. Not unlike most blogs and bloggers.

  4. I don't know. Judging from my stats, plenty of people seem to listen to the more than 300 in-depth radio interviews I've conducted with authors, filmmakers, and cultural figures. Just for starters. If that's not journalism, then I'm an amphisbaenia. (Then again, you might already think me one already.) On the other hand, what have you done lately, Anonymous?
