Samuel Johnson, absurdist ...

... On the Quest for Happiness. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

This is an interesting piece, but I think that what Johnson was getting at is that happiness is something that cannot be approached directly and with force. As the Zen master said, if you cup your hands together, you can raise water to your lips and drink. But if you try to clutch the water, you only spill it.
