What do I remember of WWII? Watching the troop trains go by. We lived right in the heart of North Philly, which was all factories and train yards then. The trains ran by right across from where we lived. I also remember, oddly, that one didn't see many young men, and those you did see were in uniform. So not a lot. But I was not quite 4 when it was over.
