  1. I think you are right. We have royally screwed up the entire universe. Global warming is happening the entire planet is getting affected by it, the temperature is rising every year. The ice has began to melt, all these appears to be the warning signs. Lets all join in to save our planet. There is an online discussion on http://www.yoursoltuins.co.in.

Not only that, Disha, but our grammar and syntax, too, has began to melt. Grammar despoliation is happening sentences are running on semicolons are disappearing displaced polar bears are devastating our apostrophe habitats only the present tense is left, all these appears to be the warning signs. GRAMMAR APOCALYPSE!!

  3. I really have no business to chip in, but can we please, even (and specially) when we don't agree with certain points of view, not get personal regarding grammar and punctuation? Not to sound like the in-house granny, but it introduces bad blood in the discussion. Quite avoidable, don't you think?

Fair enough. I generally try not to nitpick on grammar. However, the strangely mechanical manner in which the comment elides the topic at hand in order to preach global warming leads me to take disha for some kind of robotic commentator, who is therefore insensible to my mockery. If disha is indeed human, I apologize if my tone was too harsh, although I would strongly encourage that person to better attend to the shape of his or her quasi-apocalyptic rhetoric, if that rhetoric is truly meant to persuade.

  5. I second Vikram's plea for civility, while sympathizing with Jonathan's exasperation over Disha's knee-jerk apocalypticism. Especially since I was being scarcastic.
