Looking for work …

Hello,
My name is Carolyn Nelson and I am searching for Editorial Assistant or other related positions in the Philadelphia area. I am a graduating master’s student in English Literature from King’s College London and completed my BA in English-Creative Writing at the University of South Florida in 2014While at USF, I also completed a minor in General Business Administration, completing accounting, finance, marketing, and management courses.
I worked as an undergraduate student tutor during my time at USF focusing on the fields of financial accounting, managerial accounting, professional writing, composition, and each course’s necessary essay preparation and exam review. I was also an administrative intern with the journal Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art, which equipped me with skills in internal and external communication, maintenance of various communication databases, and critical review of submission pieces and guidelines. I was a bookseller at Barnes and Noble’s College Bookstore at USF, working primarily in their textbook division both on the sales floor and behind the scenes in on-line reservation fulfillment. Due to my education and experience, I have an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; exceptional time management and organizational skills; strong communication and presentation skills; and the ability to multi-task and fully commit to a variety of set goals.
hope to find a position in the editorial field, as mentioned above, and I want to thank Frank Wilson for his willingness to post this short summary of skills on his blog and any readers who may consider me because of it. The best means to contact me is through email, but my phone number is also included if that is preferable. I am, of course, able to send a formatted resume and complete formal applications for any opportunities. Thank you again.
Best,
Carolyn Nelson
