The word from Canada …

The Lockdown Contrarians Were Right | C2C Journal.

According to Public Health Agency of Canada data, there had been 7,773 Covid-19 deaths in Canada as of June 7. Federal Chief Medical Officer Theresa Tam has confirmed that 81 percent of them were linked to long-term care facilities. Of the remaining 1,482 deaths, most were people over the age of 70. Only 229 of the total deaths were aged under 60 and almost all of those had pre-existing health conditions. Clearly, for a healthy working-age person, the risk of dying from Covid-19 is significantly lower than dying by accident or from other diseases.

  1. Oh brother! This is the worst article you have posted on Covid-19. It's like upholding some supreme effort to find this stuff, and create or pretend there is a debate where there is none. This article is by a former corporate oil executive, who knows nothing -- absolutely nothing -- and is going against all the science, twisting successes of social distancing into being reasons for not having social distancing. Bam, Disqualified! (Reality: The killer virus spreads when people do not take precautions, healthy young people are less apt to die and more apt to become only spreaders, who do not protect others from themselves. "Screw Grandma, corporate oil execs are who I serve," is what the author wants. The average cost to life is a decade per each person who has died from the virus -- even if they caught it from a young person who did not die.) There is no true debate on the value and lives saved by social distancing. None. It does not exist among experts around the globe. Among scientists who spend their days and professions studying this stuff, there is: no debate. Dumbo Chris Christie also is not an expert. I read all the headlines of all the preprints daily, and delve into the studies on just this topic, and read as many scientific publications that I come across, and no one, no one, is finding that social distancing in public places, indoors and outdoors, is not saving lives. No one. This author, in trying to sell us on keeping his stock portfolio from shrinking, does not mind killing people to do it -- unless he's just stupid and truly does not understand. In the mean time, wherever people gather unsafely, the virus spreads. Whenever the virus spreads, people die, and it is a torturous death.
