I do not miss the typewriter. I remain a pretty lousy typist and find working at a computer much more enjoyable, if only because of the speed with which I can correct my errors.
That's interesting though. Typewriter fetishism is definitely a thing in zinedom. I have a couple of them and enjoy using them very much, although for long pieces of writing, or for when I'm beginning to write something, I must use my computer. This summer, at a yard sale, I bought a fabulous blue portable typewriter, a Smith Corona Silent Super like this one (http://wists.com/new_cliche/bdc13f5fe5804fefcad78f1a1dba29b8?offset=20) for ONE DOLLAR. Yard sale mother lode!
