Thank God ...

... these twits aren't film critics: Listomania. (Hat tip, Maxine Clarke.)

The best film mentioned here is Casablanca, which really isn't about foreign policy or international relations. Neither is The Lion in Winter, which is another good, though not great, flick. Stanley Kubrick's best movie is Paths of Glory, but it's about war. What is most on display in these lists is the academics' lack of imagination.

  1. Good grief! These choices are ludicrous, absolutely clueless, with the partial exception of "Dr. Strangelove." Jeez, "The Mouse That Roared" is more about foreign policy/international relations than any of these. At least it's about foreign policy (The Duchy of Grand Fenwick's) and relations between two countries (Grand Fenwick and the United States).
