Word from Judith ...

... Sic transit gloria mundi ( this is a must read).

But see also, on an entirely different note, Philip Larkin's judicial legacy.

  1. See Patrick Kurp's 'The Rebellion of Particulars', also in memoriam Robin Blaser.

  2. Whoa . . . Fave Dave. I was just going to tell Frank the same thing. So, I guess it's time for a "Me, Too" comment :).

    Patrick's post reads beautifully.

I do hope it brings Robin's companion, David Farwell, some comfort, knowing how Robin affected Patrick so memorably and wonderfully. It helped make my sad morning brighter, though, after watching the shameless advertising on one commentarian's part and the quibblicating on another's with nary a word for Robin nor thought for David, the saddest feeling, seeing how mean-spiritedly crass and feelingless I know most of these so-called human beans are, so self-absorbed they cannot offer comfort — heart-sickening; so, me, two. (Thanks to you.)
p.s. Frank? Don't read beyond this point, okay? Okay? You're not reading? Remember: No girrafes on unicycles beyond this point? That means YOU, now :) . . .

Hey, FDL? Bet you a "Hat tip" Frank will add the link and mebbe bump the post :)

  3. Aw, Frank. I thought it was a link to the tribute and now, I'm sorry I didn't simply classily say what I now shall:

It came from Him at Noon on 8 May, on you know who's feast day, at exactly the time we say, Let us pray. Thank you, simply.
