Frank your post, and those to which you link, raises for me a point that I have considered before ... the concept of science VERSUS religion, and how extremists of both fields seek to drive an insurmountable wall between the two.
Can one be a man of science and a man of faith, committed to the integrity of both, and the honorable devotion to and practice of both? I think so.
Hi Jeff, So do I. So does Francis Collins. So does Owen Gingerich. So does John Polkinghorne. All three have made actual contributions to advancing our scientific knowledge. To the best of my knowledge, Richard Dawkins has done nothing of the kind.
