Of poetry and podcasts ...

Ian Hocking discusses both at The Writing Life: Speaking up for poetry. (Hat tip this time to Maxine Clarke.)
Here's a poetic suggestion for iTunes: Richard Burton reading Gerard Manley Hopkins. This is simply spectacular. Moreover, it is better to have a great actor with a great voice read poetry than even a great poet with a poor voice and worse delivery.

  1. I have Mr Burton reading more than quite a few famous poems and he sounds like the sexiest man on the planet whatever the poem but a good poem too? truly madly deeply...
